Chris Holland

About Chris

I have been designing and making furniture for over twenty years. My furniture is produced to the highest standards using traditional methods of cabinet making in selected hardwood timbers, such as Oak, Ash, Elm, Maple, Walnut, Beech, and Cherry. The range of furniture I make is extensive and I can design and make a unique piece for the home or a full themed range for various locations, from homes and offices to churches.

I aim to produce pieces of furniture that are not only beautiful, but also highly functional and give the client the reassurance of ‘quality’. My furniture is designed to live with you for many years to come.

Commissioning your furniture

Commissioning a piece of furniture is a rewarding and personal experience. Once you decide on the purpose for your furniture I can visit your home to see where the piece is to be situated. I can then advise on design, dimensions, wood and finish. I will then produce designs and provide a quote.

Once we have agreed on the design and price of your piece of furniture a deposit of 50% of the total cost is required. I will allocate a slot in the workshop to start work on the piece and provide an estimate for completion. A further payment of 25% may be required depending on the length of the job. On completion I will contact you to arrange delivery and request the final payment.

I encourage your input at all stages of the commission, from the initial design to the final look of the piece. Towards completion of your furniture I invite you to visit the workshop where you can observe the craftsmanship applied and finalise the design details of your commission.
